Opening her home to a furry friend in need, Whoopi Goldberg has adopted a Russian blue cat who was taken into animal control care after being thrown from a moving car on New York City's Verrazano Bridge months ago.
The "View" co-host first met the adorable little feline when he visited the show back in July - with the visit spotlighting a heart-wrenching incident in which the pet was actually tossed from its owner's vehicle onto the populated bridge and into oncoming traffic weeks earlier.
Not being able to shake the kitten's cuddly cuteness and heroic story, Whoopi revealed the news of the adoption via her Facebook page, writing, "For all of you who remember me on The View meeting Verrazano. I adopted him and I was finally able to take him home."
Now content in his posh new digs, there's only one problem newly-nicknamed Vinny has to deal with - Oliver, Goldberg's other cat.
"Oliver's not too happy but, Vinny is having the time of his life. I think he'll get Oliver to come around sooner than later," the Oscar winner wrote.
