The Hills are Hoppin’ Again…

Last night was a prime time event in Hollywood for the launch party of the second season of The Hills. The Hills stars Lauren “LC” Conrad and her group of girls as they try and make in the City of Angels as young professionals, who are also equally as interested in making their mark on the social scene. The first season was meet with more success than most Hollywood executives thought was possible, and is the reason for the huge launch party that kicks off the second season.

The party had a continuous stream of celebrities pouring in throughout the night. Some of the most noticeable were: Jack Osborne, Dennis Rodman (why he was invited God only knows), Brandon Stavros, the cast of twentyfourseven, Jesse McCartney, "J.R." Rotem (Britney Spears’ former producer), Brody Jenner, and many cast members from Laguna Beach.

Lauren Conrad has really made herself a name in Hollywood after one season on Laguna Beach. This is more impressive than it sounds. Almost all of the casts from the original season of Laguna Beach were trying to land their own shows, but Lauren was the only one who was given the chance to fly solo. I am sure that Kristin Cavalleri was nowhere to be seen. It is rumored that there is still tension between Lauren and Kristin.

Whether or not season two of The Hills will be a success is still yet to be determined. It will be interesting to see if The Hills follows the same plan for success that Laguna Beach enjoys. That is having a fresh batch of characters every season. Despite having the show based around Lauren, this is still possible. The producers will just to find a new entourage for her to hangout with before next season.
