Her fans are looking for ways to pay their respects to the late Whitney Houston, but it seems they won’t be having a public memorial service in Newark, New Jersey after all.
According to a report, Mayor Cory Booker has declared that they won’t be holding an event at the Prudential Center as previously thought.
Booker shared, "The Houston family has no plans to set up a public viewing at the Prudential Center this Friday. In compliance with the family's wishes, the city is not moving forward with any public ceremony."
Instead, Houston’s body will be viewed on Saturday at noon at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, though the service is by invitation only.
