It’s nearing the end of the “Ugly Betty” era, and America Ferrera says she’ll miss playing the awkward-yet-lovable character.
The “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” actress told press, “I’ve lived with this character who I’ve loved from day one and I have only grown to feel more connected to her. Her entire journey was about a transformation, kind of coming into her womanhood and owning herself both physically and emotionally.”
Making for quite the evening to remember, the winners of the 2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards have been officially announced.
With the ceremony taking place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, a few of the night’s big winners included the critically acclaimed film “Slumdog Millionaire,” along with Meryl Streep and Sean Penn.
As the road to awards season continues, Eric McCormack and Angela Bassett were at the Pacific Design Center to announce nominees for the 15th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
And of course, expected names like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Heath Ledger were all included in the extensive list, as well as the cast of “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and critical favorite “Milk.”
Having a hit network television sitcom is hard work! And this past week, America Ferrera was spotted on the New York City set of her show “Ugly Betty” putting in some weekend hours.
The “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” cutie looked hilarious as she filmed scenes for an upcoming episode, sporting an awkward yellow wool topcoat overtop a multi-colored silk printed dress with purple stockings, brown boots, an orange scarf, and powder blue gloves.
