Trouble with the Curve
Topping the competition with ease while posting solid opening numbers, "Hotel Transylvania" is perched atop the box office to begin the weekend of September 28-30, 2012.
The Sony Pictures Animation crafted family comedy, which features the voices of Adam Sandler and Selena Gomez, enjoyed an estimated first day take of $11 million followed by another $19 million on Saturday while projected to boast debut weekend sales of $43.0 million.
With a full slate of newly released big screen offerings to choose from, the box office was quite the competitive arena - though once again underperforming - over the weekend of September 21-23, 2012.
Among the just-debuted films locked in a three-way tie for first place is the Jennifer Lawrence starring horror/thriller "House At The End Of The Street," which brought in $4.6 million on Friday and another $5.4 million on Saturday with a projected three day total of $13.2 million.
Kicking off the debut screening of their baseball-themed picture, the stars of “Trouble with the Curve” gathered for the Los Angeles premiere on Wednesday evening (September 19).
Making for a handsome red carpet entrance were co-stars Justin Timberlake and Clint Eastwood while the flick's female lead, Amy Adams, brought all the beauty in Hollywood with her, as well.
Warner Brothers has released the trailer for its highly anticipated film “Trouble with the Curve” on Tuesday (August 7).
Starring a powerhouse cast including Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman and Matthew Lillard, the Robert Lorenz directed film is set to release on September 21.
