Tom Cruise: Stunned By Tony Scott’s Suicide
Stepping out for a quiet dinner, Tom Cruise headed over to Madeo restaurant in Los Angeles last night (August 19).
The “Minority Report” actor hit behind a pair of sunglasses and looked visibly upset as he hopped into his chauffeured car.
Cruise’s friend and “Top Gun” director Tony Scott’s body had been found in the water underneath the Vincent Thomas Bridge after he committed suicide a few hours earlier. Scott left a suicide note behind in his Toyota Prius that was parked on the bridge.
In response to Tony’s death, many celebrities took to Twitter to express their reactions. Ron Howard wrote, “No more Tony Scott movies. Tragic day,” while Dane Cook tweeted, “Devastated by the death of Tony Scott. Just watched True Romance 1 of my top 5 fav movies ever a few nights ago. #RIP.”
Rob Schneider shared, “So sorry to hear Tony Scott is dead. A great director,” and Adam Shankman noted, “My heart stopped when I heard of the tragic death of 1 of r most inspiring directors, Tony Scott. Rest In Peace Tony. U will be missed so…”
