Tom Cruise: Daddy-Daughter Date with Suri

Looking to get some quality time with his little girl, Tom Cruise took Suri out for the morning in New York City today (July 17).

The “Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol” star and his daughter tried their best to avoid being photographed, as Cruise has been camera-shy since his divorce from Katie Holmes was announced.

Tom’s visit with Suri was extra special because he’s been busy filming “Oblivion” in Iceland and California as of late.

“Tom looked really happy,” said one eyewitness. “He’s been dying to see her,” noted a friend of the family.

As for the divorce, “[Tom and Katie] both know they are going to have to make decisions together regarding Suri for many, many years. And they know she loves both her parents.”

They’ve also used video chatting to help make sure Suri sees plenty of her father. “Tom and Katie were advised that this could be a very useful tool to help Suri with the adjustment of her parents getting divorced. ...Tom just lights up when her face appears on the computer screen. There is no limit on the contact for either parent.”
