Finding itself welcomed by theatergoers with open arms, "21 Jump Street" has opened up in the top spot at the box office over the St. Patrick's Day weekend of March 16-18, 2012.

The reboot of the classic TV series stars the comedic duo of Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill in the leads, with the Phil Lord and Chris Miller directed effort garnering $13 million on opening day and another $13 on Saturday while en route to a debut weekend take of $35 million.
