“Thor” Dominates Box Office with $66 Million Take

It was a great weekend to go to the movies, and Chris Hemsworth's “Thor” ended up being the movie to see.
According to a report, the Marvel Comics film adaptation brought in $66 million on its opening weekend, scoring the third highest debut for Marvel.
In its second weekend of release, “Fast Five” starring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker earned a respectable $32.5 million, making it the biggest seller of 2011 so far.
Rounding out the top five were “Jumping the Broom,” “Something Borrowed,” and “Rio,” while Mel Gibson’s “The Beaver” only sold $104,000 in 22 theaters.
