Gearing up for next month's ceremony, MTV announced the nominations for the 2013 MTV Movie Awards on Tuesday (March 5).

Awards host Rebel Wilson and MTV News' Josh Horowitz started off the nomination spectacular by announcing the most coveted Golden Popcorn award for Movie of the Year.

Given that it’s the biggest James Bond 007 film of all time, it’s only fitting that “Skyfall” has been nominated for six trophies at the upcoming Empire Awards.

The British spy flick will compete for Best Film, while stars Daniel Craig and Judi Dench are up for Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively. Additionally, Sam Mendes snagged a nod for Best Director.
