Scarlett Johansson & Sean Penn: Lovers No More

They had a brief whirlwind romance, but it seems Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn have decided to end their relationship.

According to a report the “Mystic River” actor (50) and the “In Good Company” gal (26) are no longer an item.

Neither side is commenting on the reason for the split, though it was odd that Johansson wasn’t in Cannes to support Sean as he promoted “The Tree of Life.”

Meanwhile, Scarlett has been working hard on her new role in “The Avengers,” which hits theaters on May 4th, 2012.
