Salma Hayek's Elegant Venice Film Festival Arrival

Joining in on the celebrations, Salma Hayek was spotted arriving in Venice, Italy on Friday afternoon (August 31).

The 45-year-old actress was joined by her husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, and their gorgeous daughter, Valentina Paloma, attending the Venice Film Festival.

In recent news, the “Savages” actress sparked controversy when she commented on her Mexican roots during an interview with Vogue Germany.

Miss Hayek spoke about working on her most recent film and said, “I am proud to have been involved in this film with all these great actors,” adding, “Honestly, I hardly had any memories of what it is to be Mexican. My life is completely different now."

Hispanic blog Guanabee lashed back stating, “What did Salma mean by basically saying she forgot what it's like to be a Mexican woman? That she's too French and rich for our blood?”, alluding to her marriage to her French billionaire hubby.
