It's been a family favorite read since 1971, and the big screen adaptation of Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax" now finds itself at the pinnacle of the movie world after claiming the top spot at the box office over the weekend of March 2-4, 2012.
Boasting a star-laden lineup of voices including Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Betty White and Ed Helms, the animated tale pulled in an estimated $17.4 million on Friday and another $31.3 million on Saturday while predicted to score an opening weekend of $70.7 million.
