Regarding the early departure, Brian Frons, ABC’s daytime television group president, said that the decision was all Rosie. “We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave,” Mr. Frons said. “Therefore we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to ‘The View’ and wish her well.”
The CBS show “The View” has been especially entertaining as of late. First Star Jones announces her departure from the show a few days early, to the obvious surprise of Barbara Walters. Then Rosie O’Donnell gets Star’s spot, despite mixed feelings from the other co-hosts. And now Rosie is kicking the crap out of View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck on the air.
Rosie and Elisabeth have been at odds for awhile, though. I mean, come on; you take ultra liberal Rosie and crazy-conservative Elisabeth and put them at a table to discuss current events? Of course sparks are gonna fly. This time they flew like none other...on a split screen no less.
