Rihanna Rocks New, Short 'Do at the 2012 MTV VMAs

She’s no stranger to high-profile events, and earlier tonight (September 6) Rihanna dazzled her way down the red carpet at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.

The newly short-haired Barbadian beauty was dressed to impress in a sequin embroidered Elie Saab dress as she hammed it up outside the Staples Center venue while gearing up to take the stage and collect a few more MoonMen for her collection.

Joining Rihanna amongst the big names set to perform, other acts include Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, Green Day, P!nk and first-timer Frank Ocean.

With Kevin Hart acting as host, the 2012 MTV VMAs also will see Hollywood stars such as Miley Cyrus, Mac Miller, Ke$ha and the Gold medal winning U.S. gymnastics team best known as the "Fierce Five" dish out MoonMan trophies to this year's surely deserving winners.
