Randy and Evi Quaid: More Legal Shenanigans

They’ve been eluding the legal system for months now, and as of this morning (April 13) Randy and Evi Quaid are still no-shows for their court date.

The “National Lampoons Christmas Vacation” actor and his wife are charged with defrauding an innkeeper and haven’t made it to a single court date yet.

Their lawyer Robert Sanger was overheard pleading with the Quaids on his mobile phone after they didn’t appear this morning. The judge issued a bench warrant for them.

Sanger told the judge, "They're not here yet. I'm just the lawyer. I talked to them. They said they're about an hour away. They were in Sacramento yesterday.”
