She's been hot on the promotional trail over the past few weeks, and earlier today (October 23) Salma Hayek stepped out for the red carpet premiere of “Puss in Boots” in Hollywood, California.
The Oscar-nominated actress was joined by fellow castmates Antonio Banderas, Zach Galifianakis and Billy Bob Thornton as the ensemble greeted the gathered crowd lining the entrance at Regency's Village Theatre.
Set to be released on October 28th, the Chris Miller directed film tells "a story about the events leading up to the sword fighting cat's meeting with Shrek and his friends."
Recently proclaiming how lucky she was to nab such a fabulous role, Miss Hayek (who voices Kitty Softpaws) dished, "I’ll tell you, I have a great win in this one. Everything [Puss] does, I outsmart him."
The 45-year-old added, “How many times do you get a part where the female outsmarts [the male lead] every time in every way? And I’m always one step ahead, and [Kitty’s] actually a comprehensive character. I love her—I love her because she starts out one thing and she finishes as something else. [The movie] has an arc, it has a dramatic arc, and I think that Kitty Softpaws is a great female character, one of the few wonderful ones out there."
