"Prometheus" Debuts First Clip: Watch Now!

Just short of a week after releasing a featurette and TV spot, 20th Century fox put out the first clip from the new film, "Promtheus," on Monday (May 14).

The first clip shows Idris Elba's character Janek landing the Prometheus spacecraft on a possible alien planet with the team of scientists and explorers on board.

The new sci-fi flick follows a team of explorers who discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Starring Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace, the Ridley Scott directed movie will be opening on June 8 in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters
