"Children's clothing can be so emotional," notes Kim, a designer of kids' clothing for Kmart, a company that has revamped all of its clothing lines by giving an unprecedented level of creative control to a team of New York's top designers.
With a career that included stints at Nickelodeon and Baby Gap and, most importantly, as a mother, Kim knows a thing or two about designing for children. Kim's creative process reflects the tenderness and care that only a mother (and an artist) can bring to the table, using soft fabrics with beautiful designs that would make any mother proud. Kim's passion for prints, patterns and embroidery is infectious, emphasizing both comfort, adorability and style.
Kim is also unique in that she designs for and fits clothing on her own children, often working from home, with love shining through every thread. But the best part? The prices evoke more "Main Street" than "Kiddy Couture."
Take a tour with Kim as she describes her latest line, her philosophy of design and more and you will discover that, from one parent to another, you can afford to give "only the best" to your children.
