One Direction Covers Oasis’ “Wonderwall”: Watch Now!

They’re the hottest thing to come from the UK since, well… Oasis. And One Direction pay homage to the alternative rockers with a cover version of their hit song “Wonderwall.”

The newly-released footage features the boys out on a beach with an acoustic guitar singing the 1995 hit into a camera.

Apparently the recording was done on the set of the video for “That’s What Makes You Beautiful,” during some downtime in between scenes.

And while die hard 1D fans are thrilled with the musical offering, the band is getting some mixed feedback from folks who prefer Oasis’ original version.
