One Direction: Worth $162 Million Amdist "Live While We're Young" Video Release
They’ve been riding a massive wave of success since they hit the pop music scene two years ago, and One Direction's total earnings have reached a staggering figure.
According to Simon Cowell, the “That’s What Makes You Beautiful” singers have earned a million pounds a week since their ejection from “X Factor” in December of 2010, and at today’s exchange rates that equals out to $162 million.
Author Tom Bower noted, "The songs, publishing, discs, DVDs, merchandising and endorsements brought in huge profits, with the five members of the group together estimated to have earned nearly £100million. Naturally, Sony and Syco raked in much more."
And the boys show no signs of slowing down- they’ve just leaked their new single “Live While We’re Young” from their upcoming second album Take Me Home, due to hit stores November 13th.
