Nicki Minaj: Reporting for “American Idol” Duty

Looking forward to her new gig, Nicki Minaj showed up at the “American Idol” auditions in New York City today (September 17).

Joined by fellow judges Randy Jackson and Keith Urban, the “Super Bass” rapper looked excited and smiled for the folks gathered outside Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Unfortunately, it seems Nicki’s massive ego has met some static from that of Mariah Carey, as the two ladies are said to be experiencing some friction from each other.

Apparently, Minaj has become frustrated with Carey for constantly interrupting her while trying to critique the contestants- one insider told press, “These girls just don’t like each other.”
