Helping her husband campaign for re-election, Michelle Obama stopped by “Good Morning America” in New York City today (May 29).
The First Lady promoted her new book “American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America,” a 271-page chronicle of her experiences in planting and harvesting healthy foods.
Mrs. Obama told press that the book is “an expression of my hopes” for America’s children. “Just as each seed we plant has the potential to become something extraordinary, so does every child.”
As for the end result of her writing project, "It turned out exactly as I envisioned. It's a beautiful book, wonderful pictures. It is definitely a passion. Getting the kids in our country to eat healthy. This book is a way to talk about our journey."
