Posted Monday March 19, 2012 8:17 PM GMT

Stepping out for a "Late Show" appearance, Michelle Obama was flanked by the Secret Service as she walked into the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City on Monday (March 19).

The fashionable First Lady wore a green jacket and black pants as she walked in and out of the studio, but was a little bit more dressed up for the pre-taped appearance while clad in a beautiful white, green and blue block dress.

During Mrs. Barack Obama's visit, host David Letterman was bound and determined to find out about private conversations has with her President husband.

In his attempt to garner personal info, Letterman asked, "Has your husband ever come home to you and said to you, uhh, that John Boehner, what an idiot?"

Bursting out in laughter, Michelle responded by saying, "It has never happened! Never, never. He is always upbeat, particularity about congress."

With a sneak peak from the First Lady's interview found below, the full episode can be seen when it airs tonight on CBS at 11:35/10:35pm c.
