Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009 from cardiac arrest. Hollywood has come out in force to support Michael Jackson family during this time of grief. Michael Jackson's global fan base is also expressing their sadness at the passing of King of Pop
Though they’ve already held both public and private memorials for Michael Jackson, the Jackson family is still dealing with the details of his burial.
And earlier this week, they were forced to move the King of Pop’s body from Berry Gordy’s crypt at Forest Lawn Cemetery to the facility’s main building basement for fear that a crazed fan may try to break into the coffin.
They’re still investigating the details surrounding the death of Michael Jackson late last month, and now his sister LaToya says she thinks he was murdered.
She told press, "I believe Michael was murdered. I felt that from the start. Not just one person was involved, rather it was a conspiracy of people. He was surrounded by a bad circle. Michael was a very meek, quiet, loving person. People took advantage of that. People fought to be close to him, people who weren’t always on his side."
More information about Michael Jackson and drug relations has been coming forth, with the latest reports telling that he would take more than 10 Xanax pills a night, “asking his employees to get the prescription sleep medicine under their names and also personally traveling to doctor’s offices in other states to obtain them,” CNN reported.
The reports have been uncovered from a 2004 Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department document that had private interviews with two of Jackson’s former security guards.
At yesterday’s public memorial for Michael Jackson, his kids were visibly shaken up over their father’s death. But at the reception afterwards, they seemed to lighten up a bit.
The three kids, Prince Michael (12), Paris Katherine (11), and Prince Michael II (Blanket) (7) all seemed to be in high spirits as they enjoyed the company and conversation of their family at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
Paying respects to her longtime friend, Brooke Shields was among the stars to take the stage at Staples Center for the Michael Jackson Memorial Tribute on Tuesday (July 7).
Fighting back tears, Brooke told the crowd, "Michael was one of a kind...Michael always knew he could count on me to be his date. Michael tried in vain one night to unsuccessfully teach me the Moonwalk. Michael loved to laugh. MJ's laugh was the sweetest and purest laugh. His sense of humor was delightful, and he was very mischievous."
