Michael Fassbender Drops By “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”
Continuing his long-running promotional tour, Michael Fassbender was spotted at “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” in New York City last night (June 5).
The “Inglourious Basterds” hunk dropped by to talk about his early career aspirations as well as his new movie “Prometheus.”
When Fallon inquired as to what he was aiming for as a job, Fassbender explained, “I didn’t know what I wanted to do- I wanted to be those guys’ profession (motioning to Fallon’s house band The Roots).” Jimmy asked, “You wanted to be black?” jokingly. Michael fired back, “It’s funny to joke about that, as I did to be Michael Jackson...”
As for working with Ridley Scott on “Prometheus,” Michael noted, “The first thing when you get offered something like that is elation, followed by terrific amounts of fear. I just made sure I did my homework as best I could. And then he (Ridley Scott) came on the set and he was amazing. I really learned an awful lot from him.”
