Michael Douglas Announces Cancer Center Fundraiser

It's where his battle with throat cancer first began late last summer, and now Michael Douglas is doing his part to give back to the place that detected the disease others had missed.

It has just been announced that the 65-year-old Oscar-winner plans to host a fundraiser for Montreal's Jewish General Hospital, the site of his throat cancer diagnosis.

One of the items up for auction at the event will be a round of golf with Douglas and his wife, Catherine Zeta Jones, at a spot close to the couple's vacation home in the Mont-Tremblant region.

The $375-a-plate fundraising gala is scheduled for May 3rd at Le Windsor in downtown Montreal.
