Melanie Brown
The Spice Girls got a chance to say “thank you” in person to Sir Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin Atlantic Airlines, for hooking them up with their very own 747 “Spice One.”
Earlier today, they showed up at London’s Heathrow Airport to attend the grand opening of a new terminal, where they met up with Branson and posed for some pictures.
As if the masses of screaming fans and overwhelming demand for concert tickets wasn’t enough, the Spice Girls have been hooked up with their own plane for their reunion tour.
The “Spice One” is a Virgin Atlantic 747 jet in which the five UK superstars and their families will be frolicking around the world over the next couple of months.
Spice Girls fans that couldn’t get into their Wednesday night show at the Los Angeles Staples Center got a second chance to see Melanie Chisholm perform last night at The Mint.
And most of the Spice family was there to support her. Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham and her hot hubby David were in the audience cheering Mel on.
“Spiceworld” hit San Jose, California last night, and the Hewlett Packard Pavilion was rocking the night away.
In the first US show of their reunion tour, Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown, Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham, Emma "Baby Spice" Burton, Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisholm and Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell took the stage like the seasoned veterans that they are. And they put on what many are calling the concert of the year.
Oh yes, it is finally here. The Spice Girls reunion tour is officially underway, and the girls played their first show in Vancouver, British Columbia last night to 16,000 grateful fans.
The five UK superstars opened their show with a video of five “Spice-like” girls and their aspirations to one day become pop singers. Then Mel C, Mel B, Geri, Emma, and Victoria took the stage by storm with “Spice Up Your Life.”
Yesterday was a big day for “Dancing With The Stars.” They’re in the final round of the season, and the Spice Girls also happened to drop by to support their bandmate Melanie Brown.
Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, Victoria Beckham, and Geri Halliwell all showed up in a black Cadillac Escalade to cheer Brown on.
If you’re one of the super-lucky ticketholders for a Spice Girls Reunion concert, I don’t need to tell you to get excited. And Emma Bunton announced on the band’s official site that rehearsals have begun. She wrote:
“Hello from LA, we’re finally here! Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who posted messages on my official website about the photo of Beau. Sorry it took so long to introduce him but I’m sure you’ll agree he’s worth the wait. Jade and I are besotted with him.
They’re getting ready for the hugest comeback tour ever. But the Spice Girls could be in for a rude awakening if Victoria Beckham can't get rid of her lingering illness.
Posh has has been dealing with a chest infection, and it’s not looking good for the Girls’ upcoming tour. Vic says she’s afraid she won’t be healthy enough to join her bandmates for the upcoming rehearsal schedule, and that could spell disaster.
To say that the tickets to the Spice Girls Reunion Tour are selling like hotcakes would be an understatement. In fact, they’re selling out venues so quickly, promoters are begging and pleading for additional dates. And the 5 ladies from the UK are happy to oblige.
With the initial dates selling out in a matter of seconds, the “Wannabe” singers have added additional dates at the O2 Arena in London. Now, Geri, Emma, Victoria, Melanie, and Melanie are performing on December 15, 16, 18, as well as January 2, 15, and 16.
They’re releasing their Greatest Hits album next month before embarking on a mega-tour. And it looks like the Spice Girls won’t have any trouble selling tickets to their shows.
For instance, the Spice Girls’ London show sold out in all of thirty-eight SECONDS… not minutes, but seconds. And that was after over a million fans pre-registered to be able to buy tickets.
