Mariah Carey's Somber Night Out in NYC

Dressed in all black for dinner, Mariah Carey was spotted grabbing a bite to eat in New York after Whitney Houston's funeral on Saturday (February 18).

Wearing dark round sunglasses and a black dress, the "Touch My Body" singer appeared to be in a somber mood as she made her way to Cipriani restaurant in SoHo.

Carey found out her idol, Whitney Houston, had died while she was in the hospital with her husband, Nick Cannon.

Cannon has been in and out of medical facilities ever since he was diagnosed with acute kidney failure on a post-Christmas family vacation in Aspen, Colorado, and was back under doctors' care last Friday (February 12) when he was diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs and an enlarged ventricle in his heart.

The 41-year-old singer took to Twitter after hearing about Houston's death, writing, "Heartbroken and in tears over the shocking death of my friend, the incomparable Ms. Whitney Houston."
