Mandy Moore Gets a Confidence Boost From Mom
Grabbing a quick morning pick me up, Mandy Moore was spotted leaving a local coffee shop in Glendale, CA on Saturday (June 23).
The 28-year-old star looked effortlessly cool in grey pattern skinny jeans, a green top and sneakers as she made her way to her car with her caffeine fix in hand.
In other news, the "Tangled" performer was recently named the spokesperson for Dove’s new “Women Who Should Be Famous” campaign. The effort is aimed at highlighting real-life women who would be great role models for girls to aspire to be like.
When opening up to Glamour mag about her new role, Mandy also talked about her previous childhood insecurity about her height saying, “I went through a big growth spurt and for a period of time, was taller than a lot of my friends,” adding, “I used to hunch over and complain to my parents about sticking out or feeling awkward in my body."
The songstress also explained that no matter how down she got her mom was always there to lift her up adding, "My mom, who is about eight inches shorter than me, never failed to mention how envious she was of my height and that it was a beautiful quality. She reminded me to embrace what I was given and stand tall with my shoulders back… I guess the grass is always greener.”
