Madonna Named “Greatest Woman in Music” By VH1

She’s coming off of a killer performance at the Super Bowl and gearing up for the release of her new album, and now Madonna has yet another thing to be thankful for.

The Material Girl will be named to the top of VH1’s “100 Greatest Women in Music” list when the countdown ends on Friday (February 17).

The list consists of the top 100 ladies who have released music between 1990 and today, and there is some fierce competition for the higher spots.

Mariah Carey will score the #2 ranking, while Pink, Mary J. Blige, Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Lady GaGa, Adele, and Beyoncé Knowles all will land in the top 10.
