A funny thing happened to Nicki Minaj on Sunday (March 27) during the "I Am Still Music" tour when she headed to give a lucky fan a lap dance - her boss, Lil Wayne , ran from backstage at the Long Island, New York's Nassau Coliseum and plopped down in the seat.
The Pink Friday star's showstopping move suddenly turned into a must-see moment, as she told press afterwords: "Well, I have to say, I been giving lap dances [during the tour], but I didn't know Wayne was gonna jump out and pop out the back. I literally was up there trying to get a boy, then I turn around and I see this cute little dread in the chair with his legs dangling off. And I was like, 'What?' I was super nervous."
He’s back on top of his game, with a hit record and a killer tour, and of course Lil Wayne is also dealing with some legal issues.
Only this time, the static isn’t coming from Johnny Law, but rather from producer Darius Harrison who says the “Mrs. Officer” rapper owes him $20 million for his work on “Lollipop” and the album Tha Carter III.
Kicking off one of the most anticipated tours of the year, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj were in action at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island last night (March 16) for the “I Am Still Music 2011” tour.
The “Mrs. Officer” rapper told the sold out crowd that he was extremely grateful for their support, especially while he was in jail.
Sitting down to talk with MTV News, the “A Milli” rapper told of Drake, "The first thing I said was this kid's a superstar. I don't think you can remember, but I did some interviews back then when they were asking me about him and I said he's better than me. I can't sing. I can make a song, but this kid has the actual R&B presence.”
