Lauren Conrad Rocks a Hot Pink Ponytail at Book Signing

Stepping out to promote her latest literary work, Lauren Conrad took to Barnes & Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (April 24).

Rocking a hot pink ponytail, the former "Hills" hottie smiled it up or the cameras before taking a seat to sign copies of her new book 'The Fame Game'.

Prior to The Grove visit, Miss Conrad took time to chat with “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” - touching on topics including her topless Glamour magazine cover, her new book and rumors that she's in talks to be the next Bachelorette.

“No! Why would date on TV again?” the former “Hills” star said of the 'Bachelorette' chatter. “I would love to do something that didn’t affect the people in my life. I like working. I had a really good experience with television, but I don’t want my friends to have to sign a waiver to hang out with me. You know what I mean? I’m fine not doing it right now though.”

LC went on to talk about her not-so-wild weekend at Coachella with the “American Idol” host, saying, “Coachella was fun, but I don’t know if I’m hip enough to really enjoy it. I was in bed at nine every night!”

The 26-year-old designer also dished about her new novel, “The Fame Game”, telling, “I took the mean girl from the first series and spun her off which was really fun, because the first series I was writing from my own point of view. However, this girl is just the complete opposite. She loves being famous. That’s all she ever wanted, and she does all the shameless things that people do. It was fun to play that character. I know so many people like that!”
