"Weird Al" Yankovic's Gaga Parody "Perform This Way"

He's been known to parody the very best musical acts, but when "Weird Al" Yankovic asked superstar Lady Gaga for permission to cover one of her hits - she said no!

The Mother Monster has reportedly rejected the satirist's request to add "Perform This Way,” a parody of “Born This Way,” on his next album.

It's still unclear just why Gaga blocked the album version, while Yankovic took to his blog explain his side of the situation, writing, "It has always been my personal policy to get the consent of the original artist before including my parodies on any album, so of course I will respect Gaga’s wishes."

He added, "However, given the circumstances, I have no problem with allowing people to hear it online, because I also have a personal policy not to completely waste my stinking time.”
