Showcasing the finest in independent film, the lineup for the 29th annual Sundance Film Festival was announced on Wednesday (November 28).
This year's crop includes a lot of big name stars. According to John Cooper, director of the festival, "It's a reflection of the landscape. We notice that there's a very, very vital community of actors taking roles in independent films — well known actors in particular."
Director of programming Trevor Groth added, "With some of the more interesting television that's happening now, you've got stars coming up in those ranks that aren't like studio system blockbuster actors, but they're well-known actors who do really interesting work."
Appearing in the participating movie, "Ain't Them Bodies Saints," Rooney Mara and Casey Affleck will be seen during the festival. Also, Daniel Radcliffe stars in "Kill Your Darlings," Jessica Biel in "Emmanuel and the Truth About Fishes," and Kristen Bell in "The Lifeguard." Fans can discover their new indie faves from January 17-27 in Park City, Utah.
