Katie Holmes & Suri Enjoy the Final Days of Summer in NYC

Holding onto her daughter's stuffed animal, Katie Holmes was spotted out and about in New York City with Suri today (Sept. 1).

The 33-year-old newly divorced mom wore a short-sleeved light patterned dress with tan heeled boots and a black handbag while her little one wore a pink patterned dress with matching flip-flops.

Their fun NYC outings will have to come to an end for the summer though, as the six-year-old will be starting school at "Avenues" in the Chelsea District.

Along with the NYC campus, Avenues plans to build campuses in 20 more cities around the world, giving Suri a chance to travel with her busy father and stay in school.

The around $40,000 annual tuition fee includes books and materials, field trips, and transportation to and from activities during the school day.

Unfortunately, Katie's little fashion doll will have to trade in her wardrobe for a uniform. The students are required to wear a loose fitting blouse or turtleneck bearing the Avenues' logo along with gray or black pants, skirts, jumpers or shorts.
