It's Official: Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes are Divorced

After a very public split, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are officially divorced.

According to New York City court documents, the former Hollywood couple's case was closed on Monday (August 20).

A source revealed to press that the divorce was likely expedited due to the 33 and 50-year-old's celebrity status.

As previously mentioned by GossipCenter, Holmes announced that she was leaving Cruise back in June, and after only two weeks a settlement was reached between the pair.

The "Batman Begins" actress was granted primary legal custody of their daughter Suri, with the "Top Gun" star given generous visitation rights.
