Katie Couric Splits with Young Beau

She’s been going through several transitions as of late, and the most recent change in Katie Couric's life is her relationship status.

The veteran journalist has split from her boyfriend of five years Brooks Perlin, and he’s moving out of her Manhattan residence.

“It was her decision and there are no hard feelings,” said a friend, adding, “They had fun, but it was time to move on.”

Perlin is 17 years Couric’s junior and they met at a cancer research fundraiser back in 2006.
