Katherine Heigl Says “No Groupies” For Fiancée
If you’re a girl hoping to get access to Josh Kelley’s tourbus, you’re about to be disappointed. It seems that Kelley’s fiancée Katherine Heigl has laid down some strict rules.
"About a year ago I called him on his tour bus and heard giggling voices in the background. After that I said, 'No more girls on the bus,’” she told press.
And the happy almost-married couple is all the better for it. They’ve been talking family and kids lately. "I hope to have children and the sort of family traditions where we eat together every night," she says. "Joshua will be amazing father, so I won't have to do it alone."
Heigl has always been no-nonsense in all areas of her life. She was told to lose 10 pounds for her role in “Knocked Up”, which she did, and then gained it back after filming. She tells press that she draws inspiration from fellow celebrities that comfortable with being themselves. "Early in my career, I read an interview she gave about how the industry wanted her to lose weight; she basically gave them the finger and said no. I remember thinking, ‘I can do that too.’ I don't have to look like one of these genetically superior people in order to work."
Currently, Katherine finds herself filming 27 Dresses, a comedy about a woman who has been a bridesmaid 27 times, and is struggling with being her sister’s maid of honor as she marries someone that Heigl’s character is secretly in love with. Ed Burns and James Marsden star along with Heigl for the film, to be released in early 2008.
