Kate Middleton Cheers Team Great Britain Rowers to Gold
Once again showing support for her country, Kate Middleton was on hand at the Mixed Coxed Four Rowing event as part of the 2012 Paralympics in Windsor, England on Sunday (September 2).
The Duchess of Cambridge sported her red, white, and blue while cheering on the Special Olympians with Sophie the Countess of Wessex and Lady Louise Windsor at the Eton Dorney venue.
On this particular day, there happened to be an exciting reason for Kate & co.'s celebrations - as the rowers won Team Great Britain’s first Paralympics crew gold after a dramatic head-to-head battle with Germany.
Four time gold medalist Matthew Pinsent spoke out after the victory, saying, “I'm so proud of them. That was such a tough race but they rode a really nice race, put the Germans under pressure and just moved away at the last bit. It was a really important for British rowing that.”
