Kal Penn Robber Faces Stiff Consequences

He was robbed at gunpoint around 1am on Tuesday morning, but Kal Penn isn’t the average burglary victim.

Though he rose to fame with a series of high-profile film and television roles, the “House” star gave up the acting gig to work for the White House as Obama’s associate director of the Office of Public Engagement.

Therefore, when the crook stole Kal’s two mobile phones, he stole government property which led to the Secret Service and DC Metro Police getting involved.

According to a government rep, "No information was compromised because no official numbers were in the phone."
