They were one of the most-loved boy bands of the late 1990s-early 2000s, so when ‘NSYNC got back together at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards last night (August 25) the world rejoiced.
Justin Timberlake surprised fans by bringing JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick on stage at the Barclays Center prior to accepting his 2013 Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, singing a medley that included “Girlfriend” and “Bye Bye Bye.”
Performing "Girlfriend" and "Bye, Bye, Bye," J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and JT himself sung together on stage for the first time since a tribute to the Bee Gees at the 2003 Grammys.
One’s a box office heartthrob and a recent Oscar winner. The other is one of pop music’s sexiest and most beloved hit makers. Combine them in a thriller set in Costa Rica and it’s somewhat easy to start sniffing the sweet smell of (even more) success. At least that’s what Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake are hoping.
A clip from their upcoming collaboration, “Runner Runner” is now online. In it, the two meet on a yacht and talk mysteriously about business. The trailer for the movie was released recently as well.
They sang “Bye, Bye, Bye” for the last time nine years ago, but all signs indicate NSync will be saying “hi, hi, hi” again, as they reunite for a musical performance Sunday (August 25) on the MTV Video Music Awards.
Joey Fatone denied the reports when asked about it Thursday (August 22), but now his father, Joseph Fatone Sr., has apparently let the cat out of the bag. He told RadarOnline, “Not only is the band going to reunite at the VMAs, they’re doing a performance.”
