He's always had a penchant for funky styles, and Joel Madden made a dramatic exit from the Andy Lecompte Salon in West Hollywood, CA on Wednesday (August 8).
The former "Good Charlotte" frontman was seen sporting a new half purple hairdo as he strolled out of the beauty shop wearing his normal rocker ensemble of jeans, sneakers and a leather vest.
In more somber news, Joel, along with other music industry stars recently spoke out to express their condolences for the recent death of Tony Sly.
According to a statement released by his record label Fat Wreck Chords, the "No Use For A Name" leader tragically passed away at age 41. "It is with great sorrow that we must say goodbye to Tony Sly of No Use For A Name. We received a call earlier today of his passing, and are devastated. We have lost an incredible talent, friend, and father - one of the true greats.”
Madden took to his Twitter page to pay tribute to the fallen rocker, writing, "Rest in Peace Tony Sly. My deepest sympathy to family, friends and fans of Tony and No Use. Very Sad News.”
