Jessica Alba's West Hollywood Workday

Making a casual day out look gorgeous, Jessica Alba was spotted heading to a meeting on Tuesday afternoon (March 13).

The "Sin City" sweetheart looked effortlessly chic in skinny jeans, knee high boots and a fun, flowing pattern shirt as she fed the meter before entering a local West Hollywood, CA office building for her work duties.

The outing comes just as the mom of two graces the April 2012 cover of Parenting magazine, in which she speaks candidly about her own mothering techniques and how she became the disciplinarian of the household.

In the interview, Miss Alba confesses that she considers herself the authoritative figure due to her own childhood experiences, explaining, "I think it's because I was kind of a naughty kid myself: I'd push my parents' buttons and test them to see how much I could get away with. I think I just know, from me being that other kind of child, how to cut off bad behavior and redirect it. So when Honor tries to do something she shouldn't, I have to say to Cash, 'Let her know right from the beginning that she can't."

The 30 year-old brunette beauty also believes in keeping a somewhat normal lifestyle for her children, saying, "Kids don't always have to know the truth."

Jess admits she uses a few little white lies to help her oldest daughter, Honor, 3, keep from feeling uncomfortable about their celebrity family's status, mentioning, "When the paparazzi follow us, and [Honor] asks me what they're doing, I tell her, 'They're just taking pictures. Isn't that silly? I don't want her to have anxiety, so I tell her they do that to everyone, not just our family."
