Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend

Every year, the Awards Show season kicks off with a stellar diamond event. And though the writers' strike is putting a damper on Hollywood functions, the Diamond Information Center and InStyle magazine carried on with their sparkly tradition.

The Beverly Hills Hotel was the place to be yesterday if you love celebrities and diamonds. And with stars like Jennifer Love Hewitt, Minka Kelly, Kristen Bell, Rachel Stevens, and Leighton Meester on hand, it was definitely a sight to behold.

Leighton Meester was rocking a head of cropped curls as she stunned the paps with her 1-strap starry black dress. Complete with plain black shoes, this Gossip Girl looked to be beckoning the 1940s.

Always easy on the eyes, Minka Kelly showed the world that she doesn’t need a man to feel amazing (John Mayer recently dumped her), as she posed for a few pics. The “Friday Night Lights” babe looked righteous in her sleeveless white satin dress.

Meanwhile Kristen Bell was shining bright in a black and white printed dress. Maybe that extra glow about her is due to the fact she’s been getting close with Punk’d star Dax Shepard.

And Jennifer Love Hewitt stood still and looked pretty for the camera in her understated grey dress, complete with an avant-garde split ponytail hairdo. As she looks ahead to marriage and motherhood, the “Party of Five” actress has to be excited about what her future holds.
