Jennifer Lopez’s Big Apple Birthday

Making the most of her 43rd birthday, Jennifer Lopez headed out into New York City with her boyfriend Casper Smart this afternoon (July 24).

The “On The Floor” songstress and her boytoy held hands as they left their luxury hotel, en route to a day filled with fun and plenty of gifts.

As for her recent departure from “American Idol,” J. Lo has insisted that her decision had nothing to do with a salary dispute.

She explained, “I could do Idol for the rest of my life. But that would be giving up a bunch of other things ... I have my movies and my music and my this and my that. It all kind of worked together for a while, but then it gets more complicated. I didn’t know I’d be moved so emotionally by working on the show and working with the contestants.”
