Looking to boost the local economy, Beyonce Knowles and Jay Z hit up Barneys New York in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (December 3).
The “Bootylicious” babe and her “Magna Carta Holy Grail” hubby were hounded by fans and paparazzi as they exited the swanky department store, en route to Bey’s gig at the Staples Center later in the evening.
Taking the time to look into the allegations himself, Jay Z decided to go forward with his collaboration with Barneys New York after claims of racial profiling.
In a statement, the "Holy Grail" rapper reveals, "My team has been privy to the status of the Barneys third party consultant investigation. In continuing our research, we also contacted the New York State Attorney General’s office for the status of their investigation into both Barneys and Macy’s. Those findings are not yet available."
He’s one of the most successful entertainment moguls of all time, but Jay Z may have hit a sour note in his partnership with Barneys New York.
According to a report, the “Picasso Baby” is teaming with the high-end retailer to release his New York Holiday collection of jackets, watches, backpacks, and scarves, but after the store was involved in alleged racial profiling of customers, he may reconsider the deal.
