Leonardo DiCaprio Says “Good Morning America”

Posted Monday November 7, 2011 11:08 AM GMT

He’s been promoting his new movie “J. Edgar” ahead of its release on Wednesday, November 9th, and Leonardo DiCaprio paid a visit to the ABC Studios in New York City today (November 7).

The “Catch Me If You Can” stud discussed his role in the film and what drew him to the project in the first place.

“Usually when a lot of questions still arise about the character and their intentions and their motives, that’s when I become interested. When you read a script and everything is completely on the page and there’s no job left for you to do, that’s usually when I’m not interested.”

Leo noted that Hoover was a fascinating man to research and play. “He’s always been so shrouded in mystery. There have been so many salacious rumors around J. Edgar Hoover and his tactics of course have always been put under question and great scrutiny, especially during the 1960s… with all his attacks on the Civil Rights leaders.”
