“The Hangover 2” Scores Record Weekend at the Box Office
It was quite the holiday weekend for Bradley Cooper and the boys- their sequel “The Hangover Part II” posted record numbers in ticket sales.
From Friday until Sunday, the flick brought in $86 million making it the biggest opening ever for a live-action comedy.
Since its Thursday debut, Part II has totaled $117 million, putting it just behind “The Matrix Reloaded” in the Rated-R realm.
Rounding out the top five list were “Kung Fu Panda 2” with $47.8 million, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” with $39.5 million ($153.1 million overall), “Bridesmaids” with $16.5 million, and “Thor” with $9.4 million.
