G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation
Riding on its highly anticipated status, "Oblivion" soared to the top spot in this weekend's box office for the weekend of April 19-21, 2013.

Scaring up a first place nod in its box office debut, "Evil Dead" was tops with theater goers for the weekend of April 5-7, 2013.
The horror newcomer took in $11.5 million on Friday, and grabbed a respectable total of $26 million when all was said and done.
Showing its power in the weekend box office rankings, “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” took the top honors raking in more than $50 million.
The action flick starring Channing Tatum and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson comes in second place for the highest grossing Easter weekend box office record behind “Wrath Of The Titans” in 2010.”
Blasting away the competition, “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” is projected to take home the top spot at the box office for the holiday weekend of March 29-31, 2013.
The Bruce Willis, Channing Tatum, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson action flick took in $15.5 million on Friday, and is expected to rack up $40.0 million for it’s freshman weekend.

Paramount Pictures learned a valuable lesson recently: Don't kill off Channing Tatum. The upcoming "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" movie was pushed back to March 29th, 2013 after it was determined that reshoots were needed.
The reasons for the tweaking were so-so test scores and the poor decision to kill off the "Magic Mike" star, whose starpower has recently rocketed thanks to "Magic Mike."
